We are very happy to announce that we will be live and streaming in Newmarket this coming Tuesday, June 18th as the Newmarket Hawks will host the Thornhill Reds in GTBL action. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30pm at Don McKnight Field.

This will be a special evening for both clubs as well as the league as they will be honouring Dan Lehmkuhl who passed away tragically a little while ago. There will be a special ceremony to honour Dan at 7:15pm with first pitch following the ceremony. We will carry both events live.

Dan played for a number of years in the Greater Toronto Baseball League. He started his Men's AAA career off with the Thornhill Reds. Towards the tail end of his career he made the move to the Newmarket Hawks making this the perfect game to honor his life and career. Dan was also very active within the league acting as the secretary on the GTBL league executive.
 

Outside of the field, Letch spent tons of time with his wife and two kids. They were the world to Dan and he loved them all dearly. I know on a few occasions I would get the odd nudge or wave if I was streaming one of their games as he entered the park always with a big smile in his face. Dan had an extreme love for life and the game of baseball which will be dearly missed by all who knew him!

We are extremely excited to team up with the Hawks and Reds to bring this special event to followers around the province and beyond!! We will have the stream open around 7:10pm that evening. We look forward to seeing you that evening for a great baseball game and to remember a tremendous teammate and friend!!
