We will now release our 3rd edition of the CABC Men's AAA Top 10 Rankings for the 2025 season. The list is meant to have some fun and grow the sport of baseball at the Men's AAA level. These rankings are based on regular season play up to and including games played on June 21st, 2025. Here we go for Round 3...
Honorable Mentions
*Windsor Stars (7-6 Record; 2nd Place Can Am League) (HM)
The Windsor Stars hang onto an honorbale mention spot in this edition of the Top 10. They had a very successful CABC Gold Bat Tournament as they defeated Tecumseh & Newmarket finishing in 2nd place but their league play (they were 3-3 in that time frame) keeps them here for now.
*Pirates de St Jean sur Richelieu (6-3 Record; T - 2nd Place Ligue de Baseball Majeur du Quebec) (7)
After a hot start to the year, St Jean sur Richelieu drops into the honorbale mention catagory in the edition of the Top 10. After a hot 4-0 start, they were 2-3 over the last three weeks of league play pushing them to a tie for 2nd place overall in the Ligue de Baseball Majeur du Quebec.
*Cartwright Twins (6-2 Record; 1st Place Border League) (9)
The Cartwright Twins grab an honorable mention this time around after cracking the Top 10 last time around. The 2nd team to drop down after the last rankings shows the strength of some of the other teams in the country this year. The Twins were 3-1 in the last three weeks of their season in the Border League.
*Ilderton Riverhawks (6-2 Record; 1st Place Southwestern League) (8)
The Ilderton Riverhawks takes a bit of a hit in this round of the National Top 10 as they grab an honorable mention in this edition. They were 1-2 in league play since our last rankings and went 1-2 at the CABC Gold Bat Tournament dropping games to Newmarket and the Windsor A's missing out on the playoff round.
*Kendal Eagles (7-2 Record; 2nd Place Greater Toronto League) (NR)
The Kendal Eagles make their first appearance ever on the National Top 10 Rankings as an honorable mention this time around. They were 5-1 over the past three weeks of league play and now sit a game behind the Newmarket Hawks for top spot in the Greater Toronto Baseball League.
*Jets de Montreal (7-2 Record; T - 2nd Place Ligue de Quebec) (HM)
The Jets de Montreal reamin an honorable mention this time around in the National Top 10 Rankings. They went 4-1 over the past three weeks of league play in the ultra competitive Ligue de Baseball Majeur du Quebec. If they can keep up this level of play, some of the team in the bottom half of the Top 10 will feel some heat.
*Etobicoke Rangers (8-2 Record; 1st Place COBA Major League) (HM)
The Etobicoke Rangers are another one of those teams starting to put some pressure on some of the ranked teams. They were 5-1 in the past three weeks of league play in the COBA Major Baseball League. They reached the quarters of the CABC Gold Bat Tournament bowing out to Burlington. A deeper run here would have pushed them up the rankings.
National Top 10 Rankings
#10 - Oak River Dodgers (9-0 Record; 1st Place South West League) (NR)
The Oak River Dodgers find themselves into the National Top 10 Rankings for the first time ever as they come in at #10 this time around. They have been playing some great baseball so far this season in the South West Baseball League as they are now one of three teams that remain undefeated in Canada. The Dodgers have had some big wins this year in league play and look poised to have a very strong run this season. They will get some strong tests coming up including a pair of games against the defending league champs the Boissevain Centennials. With a few weeks left in the South West League season, they will be amping up for a strong playoff run as well.

The Sarnia Brigade crack into the national Top 10 Rankings this time around for the first time this season as they come in at #9 this time. After being an honorable mention last time around, the Brigade showed well at the CABC Gold Bat Tournament going 5-0 and capturing the 2025 title here including key wins over Tecumseh, Burlington and the Windsor Stars. The Brigade will also be attending the Rudy Godwin Memorial Tournament in London as well which should be another strong test for them. If they can start to propel themselves in league play, the 2024 Ontario finlaists could find themsleves climbing these rankings in the future weeks in the season.

#8 - Calgary Rockies (9-3 Record; 1st Place Sunburst League) (HM)
The Calgary Rockies get back into the National Top 10 Rankings this time around after dropping to an honorable mention last posting. They were perfect since our last posting going 5-0 to take over top spot in the Sunburst Baseball League in Alberta. The Rockies seem to be trending in the right direction now as they prepare to represent the province at the Canadian Men's Baseball Championships in Regina later on this summer in August.

The Castors d'Acton Vale drop four spots this week as they come in at #7 in this edition of the National Top 10 Rankings. Since our last posting, the Castors went 4-3 in league play in the Ligue de Baseball Majeur du Quebec. The 2024 LBMQ League finalists are still having a great year but they have a few teams knocking on the door now to try and take over their spot in the Top 10. They will have to be really sharp moving forward in order to maintain a spot in the rankings.

The Boissevain Centennials make their way back to the National Top 10 Rankings after taking a hiatus from the last posting. The club was ranked well in our preseason rankngs but encountered a lot of weather early on in their season which knocked them out of the rankings back in early June. Since then, the Cents have been on a roll winning seven of their last eight games with the sole blip on the radar being a 6-4 loss to the Brandon Cardinals. The Boissevain club will now look to wrap up their regular season in the next little bit and then look to try and defend their 2024 South West Baseball League Playoff championship.

The Tecumseh Thunder find themsleves back into the National Top 10 Rankings as they climb one spot to enter the Top 5 in this edition of the rankings. The club had a perfect run in league play since our last post as they were 4-0 in Can Am League play. The Thunder also attended the CABC Gold Bat Tournament and went 2-1 in pool play beating Thornhill and Erindale while dropping their tournament opener 4-0 to host Sarnia. They met up with league mates the Windsor Stars in the quarters dropping a 7-3 in that game. Tecumseh will now have a month to prepare for the National Qualifying Tournament in Windsor in August.

The Newmarket Hawks as find themsleves climbing one spot this week as they come into the National Top 10 Rankings in the #4 spot in this edition. The club also had a good run in league play over the last few weeks as they went 4-0 to maintain their lead atop the GBTL standings. The Hawks also made their way to the CABC Gold Bat Tournament and ran the table in pool play 3-0 with wins over Ilderton, Brampton and the Windsor A's, They had a bye into the semi-finals and dropped that game to the Windsor Stars by a score of 6-3. Newmarket will now ramp up with some league play and the Hap Walters Tournament as they prepare to defend their Ontario Championship from 2024.

The Charlottetown Islanders also slide up a spot in the Nartional Top 10 Rankings as they now enter the Top 3 sitting in the #3 slot this time. The clubs played some solid baseball over the past few weeks as they went 4-1 in league play to maintain their lead atop the New Brunswick Baseball League standings. The Isles will now have a very busy month of July as they have a few games to make up as they will start to gear up to represent NB at the Canadian Men's Baseball Championships in Regina, SK in mid August.

The Dartmouth Dry retain their spot in the National Top 10 Rankings as they stay in the #2 spot in thid edition. The Dry are continuing to roll in the Nova Scotia Men's AAA Baseball League as they were a perfect 6-0 in league play since the time of our last posting in early June. Their 9-0 record has them with a comfortable lead atop the league standing now by about 3.5 games over the Sydney Sooners. Dartmouth will now gear up for a busy July as they look to stay sharp as they prepare for the Canadian Men's Championships in Regina, SK in August.

For the 2nd time in a row, the Regina Trappers grab the #1 spot in the CABC National Top 10 Rankings. The Trappers have been having anpther good season on the field this year in the Qu'Appelle Valley Baseball League. SInce the time of our last posting in early June, Regina was a sparkling 5-0 in league play running their overall record now to 7-0 on the year and hold a a three game lead over the Regina Woodpeckers. They will now attend the Big Moose Tournament this weekend in Kenosee as well as the Saskatchewan Provincials as they prepare to host the country at the Canadian championships in August.
