Day 3 News & Notes
*Team Saskatchewan claimed top spot over Team New Brunwick in Pool A based on a head-to-head tiebreaker as they defeated Team NB 9 - 5 in pool play
*With the 3-way tie in Pool B, it came down to run differential between Team Alberta, Team Manitoba and Team Nova Scotia with Alberta claiming 2nd place and Manitoba claiming 3rd.
*Team NB OF Duncan Picketts and SS Max Grant have been tearing the cover off of the baseball. PIcketts is batting a scorching .765 (13-for-17) with a double 2 RBI and 7 R. Grant, not to be outdone, is hitting .647 (11-for-17) with three doubles, three triples, two home runs 10 R and 11 RBIs.
*Semi-Final matchups are now set as Team Saskatchewan will take on Team Quebec at 9:30am. The Regina Trappers will take on Team New Brunswick at 12:30pm. The Bronze Medal game will go at 4:00pm with the National Gold Medal slated for 7:00pm. All games today are at Currie Field and can be watched on IKS Media.
