6/21/2026by CABC Admin

We will now release our 3rd edition of the CABC Men's AAA Top 10 Rankings for the 2026 season. The list is meant to have some fun and grow the sport of baseball at the Men's AAA level. As mentioned last time, now that we have had a chnace to look through a few rosters across the country, we will now start to include some key players and pitchers from each of the teams that are featured in the rankings.

So without delaying any longer, here is the most recent Top 10 Rankings in the country as of June 20th, 2026

(  ) = Previous Ranking

Honorable Mentions

*Newmarket Hawks (3 - 3 - 1 Record; T - 4th place Greater Toronto League) (NR)

The Newmarket Hawks make their first appearnace in the rankings this year with an honorable mention. In league play, the Hawks have been playing some good ball but certainly haven't gotten to the level that they expect each year just yet. The 2024 National Qualifying Champions return a very large portion of their roster from that year with the core of their batting order including Dacry Moore, Byrn Sanford and Troy McLoughlin all back this season. Pitchers Christian Mullen, Byrn Biemiller and Lucas Earle all return as well anchoring a strong pitching staff. The Hawks had a good weekend at the CABC Gold Bat Tournament reaching the finals before it was wiped out by rain. If they can get going, they will be a dangerous team

*Sarnia Brigade (5 - 2 Record; Southwesten League) (NR)

The Sarnia Brigade make their first appearance in the National Top 10 Rankings this year as they grab an honorable mention this time. The Brigade have been a little hit and miss so far this year as they have not really been able to get into a solid rhythm of games as weather has hampered their schedule a bit. When it matters most, the Sarnia club always seems to show up and play some great baseball as evidence by their trip to the finals again at the CABC Gold Bat Tournament. With a batting order that includes Carter Aarts, Wes Brooks and Logan Buntrock as well as a solid pitching staff anchored by Seth Ainsworth and Mike Damchuk this is a very dangerous team if they can string together some wins.

*East York Bulldogs (5 - 1 - 2 Record; 1st Place Greater Toronto League) (HM)

The East York Bulldogs are back in the rankings this time and once again they find themselves in an honorable mention slot in this edition of the National Top 10 Rankings. The Bulldogs are continuing to play some consistent baseball so far this year as they continue to top the Greater Toronto League standings by a point over the Leaside Leafs. The rejuvenated East York squad has taken a great core group of veterans and added some great youth to their lineup as well which has paid off so far this year on the offense side of things. The re-acquistion of Niall Windeler has been a boost as well as the UBC T-Birds grad has been a dominant force in anchoring a veteran pitching staff which has looked good as well.

*Fredericton Royals (6 - 3 Record; 2nd Place New Brunswick League) (NR)

The Fredericton Royals make their first appearance in the National Top 10 Rankings this season as they come into this edition as an honorable mention. After a bit of a down season last year, the Royals have certainly shown up to the park this year and have made some other teams take notice in a hurry. The additions of Tyler Charette and import Kensuke Miura have helped bolster a very strong pitching staff thus far. Their offence has been clicking on all cylinders as well this year led by Max Grant, Adam Estey and Craig Oliver making them a very dangerous team to contend with each game. Last weekend, they split a four game series with the Charlottetown Islanders narrowly missing out on sweeping all four of those games against the defending National Champs.

*Rivers Comets (7 - 3 Record; 3rd Place South West League) (NR)

The Rivers Comets are the fourth of five teams making their first appearance in this edition of the National Top 10 Rankings this season as they grab an honorable mention this time around. After a bit of a sluggish start to the season, the Comets have started to leap frog a few teams in the South West League standings as they have won five of their last six games and sit a game behind the Oak River Dodgers in the South Division standings. They have had a solid mix of great pitching led by Scott Beever and Hayden Mackedenski and great offense led by Owen Wareham, Jase Wareham and Braden Clarke and will be a very tough team to contend with in 2026.

*Jets de Montreal (7 - 3 Record; 3rd Place Ligue du Quebec) (10)

The Jets de Montreal take a small step back as they come into this edition of the National Top 10 Rankings as an honorable mention. Like a few other teams that were previously mentioned, the Jets have had to battle the elements a bit over the last few weeks and were only able to play two games during this time. They split those two contests defeating the Cascades de Shawinigan before dropping a tight game to the Club de Baseball des Cardinaux. With a strong offense including the likes of Jonathan Martin, Moises Perez Infante and Tristan Aspeck as well as some strong pithcing being lead by Mathieu Poirier, Jacob Brault and import Haruna Kogoshi this team could give teams a lot of trouble once they start playing a few games.

*Oak River Dodgers (8 - 3 Record; 2nd Place South West League) (9)

The Oak River Dodgers make their way back into this ediitons of the National Top 10 Rankings as they take a small step back coming in this time as an honorable mention. After an undefeated start to their season, the Dodgers ran into some tough games over the last few weeks but currently still sit in 2nd place over all in the South West League in Manitoba. The Oak River clubs features a number of offensive weapons including Ty Paddock, Kaden Rozdeba and Riley Shamray. They are pretty good on the mound as well with the likes of Dylan Schroeder, Chase Anderson and the legendary Anthony Friesen leading the way there. Look for this team to challenge Boissevain for top spot in the loop for the rest of the year.

National Top 10 Rankings

#10 - Windsor Stars (5 - 2 Record; 1st Place Can Am League) (7)

The Windsor Stars drop a few spots this time around and came into the National Top 10 Rankings in the #10 spot. Since our last posting, the Stars have had very limited action in their league play as they went 1 - 1 over that time span and currently sit atop their league standing still by percentage points. After making the final last year, the Stars made the trek to Sarnia again this year for the CABC Gold Bat Tournament going 2 - 1 this year but narrowly missing out on the playoffs by run differential. They picked up wins over the Thornhill Reds and Milton Red Sox while dropping their contest to Waterloo. The Stars boast a very large core from their 2025 roster that narrowly missed out on Canadians last year and will be chomping at the bit to get another kick this year in August.

The Castors d'Acton Vale make their way back into the National Top 10 Rankings again as they pick up the #9 spot in the country this time around. It has been a year of streaks so far for the Castors as they dropped three of their first four ga,es of the year and went from #2 in the country all the way to an honorable mention. SInce then, they have rattle off seven straight wins in a row and have catapulted themselves up the LBMQ standings into 2nd place over all a half game behind Coaticook. Acton Vale has featured the same strong core group of players over the past few years and are now showing teams that even with a slow start they are a very dangerous team to contend with each game.

#8 - Calgary Rockies (9 - 2) Record; 1st Place Sunburst League) (NR)

The Calgary Rockies have come out of nowhere in the last few weeks and have put themselves right into the mix as the #8 team in this edition of the National Top 10 Rankings. After a bit of a so so start to the year, the Rockies have been firing on all cylinders now as they have won their last six straight sunburst league games to climb to the top of the league standings. After narrowly missing out on the playoffs last season, a large majority of that roster is back in 2026 and they are certainly making teams take note early on that they are going be a tough team to handle on the diamond each game.

#7 - Waterloo Tigers (9 - 3 - 1 Record; 2nd Place COBA Major League) (8)

The Waterloo Tigers have made their way back into the National Top 10 Rankings this time around as they grab the #7 spot in the country. The newly form COBA Major League club is in their second year of operation but as other teams around the province are finding out, experience is just a number. The club currently sits in 2nd place over the COBA Major League just a game behind the Etobicoke Rangers. They attended the CABC Gold Bat Tournament this year going 2 - 1 in pool play dropping their opener to Milton before collecting wins against the Windsor Stars and Thornhill. In the semis, they dropped a narrow one run game to Newmarket. After making it to the Final 5 last year, we should be hearing more from this team come August for the National Qualifier.

#6 - Big Bill de Coaticook (8 - 2 Record; 1st Ligue du Quebec) (5)

The Big Bill de Coaticook have continued to excel in their season thus far as they grab the #6 spot in this edition of the National Top 10 Rankings. The Big Bill have been giving teams fits so far this season in the LBMQ as they have been red hot to start so far and are still in first place overall by a half a game over Acton Vale. We mentioned before we had seen this club get off to a good start in year's past and then slow fade away but they are making the whole league take notice this year for sure. With their additions in the offseason, both hitting and pitching, Coaticook has put together a very dangerous lineup that can challenge anyone in the league right now. Look for them to be a tough out each night on the field.

#5 - Dartmouth Dry (7 - 1 Record; 1st Place Nova Scotia League) (6)

The Dartmouth Dry slide up one spot and crack into the top five in this round of the National Top 10 Rankings as they grab the #5 spot. The Dry had a bit of a slow start to the year as the weather in Nova Scotia in May wasn't the greatest as the team only played one game. Since then, the team is defintiely on a mission after being ousted in the semi-finals last season in the playoffs by the Halifax Mets they have now won six of their last seven games to sit atop the Nova Scotia League standings. With a very veterean core of players back this season, Dartmouth will be looking to re-claim top spot in the province and a trip to Canadians in Edmonton in 2027.

#4 - Regina Trappers (5 - 2 Record; 1st Place Prairie Men's League (3)

The Regina Trappers continue to sit in our top five but drop a spot this time around as they come in at #4 in this edition of the National Top 10 Rankings. After a bit of a slow start to the season becuse of field conditions and weather, thre Trappers have played a few more games now as they have won three of their last five outings in the Prairie Men's League. Their lead atop of the standings has diminished a bit though as they are only a half game ahead of the Regina Woodpeckers. Regina still has a good portion of their schedule left including a few make-up games and will more than likely make their way to the provincials in August looking to try and avenge an 0 - 2 tournament last year.

#3 - Etobicoke Rangers (10 - 2 Record; 1st Place COBA Major League) (4)

The Etobicoke Rangers are having another solid season this year and have climbed one spot in this edition of the National Top 10 Rankings to grab #3 in the country. The Rangers had a great 2025 season as they had another strong campaign and finished in second place at the Ontario National Qualifying Tournament earning their first trip to the Canadians in 22 years. A few pieces of that team have not returned in 2026 but Etobicoke seems poised to make another strong bid for a provincial championship. After starting the year 5 - 1, they have won five of their last six contest to sit in first place now. They will get their first tournament test in a couple of weeks when they attend the Rudy Godwin Memorial Tournament in London.

#2 - Charlottetown Islanders (10 - 4 Record; 1st Place New Brunswick League) (1)

For the first time since the Canadians last season, the Charlottetown Islanders will slide a spot in this edition of the National Top 10 Rankings and come in at #2 in the country. In the first month of the season, the Islanders were looking pretty sharp as they rattled off five straight wins to start the year. Since that time, they have now gone 5 - 4 in league play in New Brunswick shrinking their lead atop the league standings down to a game and a half now over the Fredericton Royals. Charlottetown still boasts a very dangerous lineup up 1 thru 9 along with some strong pitching but teams have now shown that the Isles are going to have to earn it from here on out as they are looking to capture their 4th straight NB Title in 2026.

There is a new sheriff in town as the Boissevain Centennials, who have been knocking on the door the last couple of seasons, finally grab the #1 spot in this round of the National Top 10 Rankings. The Centennials have done while the last couple of seasons, but this year they are on a different level as they have yet to lose a game in the South West Baseball League in Manitoba. Like Charlottetown, Boissevain has been a strong club the last few years and even though undefeated, teams have been making them earn their last few wins. The Cents will be looking to continue their winning ways this year both in league play as well as when they go to the Manitoba Provincials later on in August.
