After a wet final couple of weeks in the Nova Scotia Sr Baseball League regular season, the standings have been finalized and the playoff picture is now set as the league has released the dates for the opening round of the playoffs.

In the first Best of 5 semi-final series, it will be the pennant winning and first overall seed the Dartmouth Dry (23 - 4) taking on the Halifax Mets (10 - 18) in another playoff edition of the battle of the bridge. These two clubs met up last year in the first round of the playoffs and it was the Mets taking a very entertaining series 3 - 2 over the Dry in that installment of this rivalry. This series is set to open up on Thursday, September 17th at Beazley Field in Dartmouth.

Meanwhile, in the other Best of 5 semi-final, it will be the defending Nova Scotia League Champions the Kentville Wildcats (15 - 12), who finished 2nd overall, as they will take on the Sydney Sooners (15 - 13). Like the other series, these two clubs also met up in the playoffs last season and it was the Wildcats, with a big comeback in Game 5, who took that series 3 - 2 in an excellent series by both teams. This year's series will open in Sydney on September 19th for the first two games with the rest of the series being played by at Memorial Field in Kentville the following weekend.
